Reiki is an energy therapy that activates the body's natural healing process, supporting one's physical and emotional well- being. This practice is used to reduce stress, anxiety and increase relaxation.
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy- the energy that flows through all living things.

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It is administered by laying on hands to channel healing energy from the practitioner to the patient.

Health care providers, proficient in Reiki Level I, will understand the history of Reiki, be able to describe the Chakra system and the specific Reiki hand positions.
They will also be proficient in grounding and centering themselves before offering Reiki to others. Reiki II practitioners will have a more complete understanding of the Reiki symbols, meaning, and uses, Reiki distance healing techniques, and treatment guidelines.

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It is administered by laying on hands to channel healing energy from the practitioner to the patient. For those who have been certified in Reiki Levels 1 and 2, the Master Level will be the conclusion to this training program. Along with the day-long training, master trainees will need to participate in 12 hours of reiki-sharing sessions.

You will leave feeling calm, relaxed, and revitalized. This class is appropriate for everyone whether you are recovering from an illness, injury, or are simply in need of TLC. Certified Urban Zen Integrative Therapist Lori Bower will lead you through practices that include restorative yoga poses, aromatherapy, Reiki, breath awareness, and guided meditation. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. The UZIT series has 1 CE for nursing per week of the class.
